The challenge with this piece was to find a structure I could use for an armature. I had to actually buy something new for this (wall art). It was hard to admit defeat at not finding something on the street or in a discount store. I would always choose creative reuse. My hunting and gathering skills rarely fail me but they did here. From there, it was fun to replicate the mysteries of a tree ring.
